SHRC Meeting Schedule and Notices
As a result of the COVID-19 emergency and the Governor’s Executive Orders N-29-20 and N-33-20, this Commission meeting will occur virtually through video and teleconference. There will not be a physical place where the public can go in-person to make public comments. The Commission is conducting the meeting virtually to avoid public gathering and protect the public health during the COVID-19 pandemic.
NOTICE: Commission meetings are live webcast on the CAL-SPAN network: www.cal-span.org. Current meeting agendas are posted to this page ten days prior to the meeting (scroll down). Upon conclusion of each Commission meeting, video recordings and written summaries of the meetings will be posted to the SHRC Meeting Recordings and Summaries page of the Office of Historic Preservation (OHP) website. Printed copies of meeting summaries can be requested by contacting the OHP Registration Unit at (916) 445-7000. Once a meeting is concluded, agenda documents are posted to the SHRC Agenda Archive page of the OHP website. Past years' meeting recordings, summaries, and minutes can be accessed on the SHRC Meeting Summaries page.
Nominations to be reviewed at SHRC meetings are posted on the Pending Nominations page, approximately 60 days before each meeting. Current meeting agendas and announcements are posted below at least 10 days prior to each meeting and workshop.
Pursuant to Section 4855(a)(3) of the California Code of Regulations California Register of Historical Resources (Title 14, Chapter 11.5), the State Historical Resources Commission (SHRC) will meet on Friday, November 6, 2020. Notice is also given that, pursuant to Section 5020.3 of the Public Resources Code, the SHRC may hear and take action upon the nominations listed in the SHRC meeting agenda below at its November 6, 2020 meeting via Zoom. This meeting will not be held at a publicly accessible location but the public may view the meeting via CAL-SPAN or participate in the meeting by registering for attendance via this Zoom link.
The SHRC invites comments on the nominations from the public either in writing or at the November 6, 2020 meeting. Written comments can be sent to State Historical Resources Commission, 1725 23rd St, Suite 100, Sacramento, CA 95816-7100 or to firstname.lastname@example.org and must be submitted by 9:00 AM on Wednesday, November 4, 2020.
Note: Properties can be removed from the agenda by the State Historic Preservation Officer. No properties can be added to the agenda. Notice is hereby given that the State Historical Resources Commission will meet on November 6, 2020, via Zoom. Please see the notice and agendas for details.

Special Notice Regarding Burro Flats National Register Nomination
Per 36 CFR 60.10 (c), as the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) and the State Historical Resources Commission (SHRC) agreed that the nomination meets the National Register criteria for evaluation in its August 14, 2020 meeting, the nomination was signed by the SHPO and returned to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The opinion of the SHRC will be the recording of the August 14, 2020 meeting. The SHPO’s signed opinion and comments confirmed to NASA that the State nomination procedures have been fulfilled including notification requirements. Any comments received by the State were included with the letter.
The NASA Federal Preservation Office (FPO) signed the nomination as co-certifying official and on September 2, 2020 submitted the nomination to the Keeper of the National Register at the National Park Service (NPS). Once received, the NPS has 45 days in which to make a determination. Within that 45 days, the NPS will post a notice to the Federal Register seeking public comments for a fifteen (15) day period, after which a determination will be rendered. Receipt of the nomination was published on Pending List 20200905 Notification of Pending Nominations and Related Actions, available at https://www.nps.gov/subjects/nationalregister/pending-list-20200905.htm.
